October is just around the corner and we at Weekend Kids have come up with a list of things to do for this weekend!


1. Gardens By The Bay


Seize the opportunity to visit Gardens By The Bay this last week to enjoy two exhibitions that are ending on the 3rd of October!


Art Zoo Wonder Gardens

Firstly, the Art Zoo Wonder Gardens an outdoor trail featuring larger-than-life inflatable art sculptures!

Join Art-Zoo characters Bruno Bear and Little Kong as they search through the Wonder Gardens to find their friends at Gardens by the Bay. While you can't jump on the inflatables, be sure to take photos and join the trail activities to learn more about the garden as an ecosystem and bring a piece of the Wonder Gardens home.

Once Upon A Time on the Orient Express



If that’s not enough, head over to the West Lawn for Once Upon A Time on the Orient Express! offers visitors a chance to embark on a fascinating journey through the history of the Orient Express, reliving the experience of travellers who boarded the train more than 100 years ago.


This exhibition has been extended till 5th January hooray!

Otah and Friends


If you didn’t know, Otah and friends is back with a brand new adventure! Follow the adventures of Otah the otter as he introduces new friends, locations and missions across our volumes. Look forward to imaginative storytelling, elaborate multi-room set design and original gameplay for the entire family!


Location: Cannonball Room (Beside Supertree Food Hall)

Mid Autumn Festival


Mid Autumn Festival may have been in September but the good news is that Gardens By The Bay’s festival is still ongoing till this weekend! Don’t miss your last chance to catch the beautiful mid autumn displays!

2. SEA Aquarium FINtastic with Pink Fong


Pick up the courage to join the kids as they creep along an interactive musical walkway to play the international sensation ‘Baby Shark’. Learn facts about sharks and discover why they aren’t so scary after all. Try saving the seas in a game or go trick-or-treating in the deep. You can even take eerie wefies galore with your little ones and SEA Aquarium’s lovable characters in their frightfully fun costumes!

3. Universal Studios Singapore Trick or Thrills

Enjoy amazing rides, trick-or-treating, and stand a chance to win a prize for best Halloween costume. Orchestral Manoeuvres: See Sound. Feel Sound. Be Sound

5. National Gallery

OUT OF SIGHT by Lawrence Weiner

OUT OF SIGHT is a participatory, interactive, social sculpture that invites audiences of all ages to see, play, think and be inspired. Created by Lawrence Weiner, one of the world's top living artists, it takes the form of a giant hopscotch court populated with fun and provocative phrases. Weiner specifically created this artwork with the outlook of young people in mind: the stances they take, and the steps they must take as they launch into life.

6. Singapore Parks


Avid nature fans, rejoice! If you didn’t already know, there’s a whole host of activities available for you to enjoy with NParks. We sifted out the more interesting activities happening this weekend just for you!


Tour of Gallop Extension

Take part in a guided walk through the Gallop Extension of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Visit the OCBC Arboretum and a section of the Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge. The tour begins at the Visitor Centre at Gallop, and will take you through the OCBC Arboretum, viewing the dipterocarp collection. You will also experience the Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge, Forest Discovery Centre @ OCBC Arboretum and the Botanical Art Gallery.

Healing Garden Tour


The Healing Garden showcases over 400 varieties of plants used medicinally. It is laid out thematically relating to component parts of the body such as head, respiratory and reproductive systems. Spread over 2.5 hectares, this garden is designed as a tranquil retreat with medical plants traditionally used in Southeast Asia as the main focus.

7. Jurong Bird Park
